Tiger Woods Avoiding Half-Siblings’ Call for Help

The half siblings of former world number one golfer Tiger Woods have revealed that their repeated calls for help to their famous half brother have fallen on deaf ears. Kevin Woods, the older half sibling of the first global superstar of golf has been suffering from multiple sclerosis and over the last few months, his movements have been almost limited and he is confined to a wheelchair. He also needs a caretaker to look after him and there are also fears that he might up end up losing his home at San Jose.

Earl Woods Jr., the younger brother of Kevin has confirmed that the repeated calls that they have made to their famous half sibling have not been returned. Speaking to a journalist from ESPN, Earl stated that he leaves messages for Tiger, gives him updates on Kevin and his condition but for some strange reason, he doesn’t bother to respond. He also added that Kevin really loves Tiger and a call from the famous golfer would really pump him up a lot and just the fact that Tiger Woods didn’t call made it worse for him.

Kevin Woods, Earl Woods Jr. and Royce Woods are the siblings of Tiger from his father Earl’s first marriage to Barbara Gary. The siblings remained close to Tiger until he was about 15 or 16 years of age, just as his star was beginning to rise and since the death of their father in 2006, they could hardly manage to contact him at all.

Earl Jr. made it clear that they don’t want Tiger’s monetary help, and only a caregiver would help Kevin immensely. He also added that it would be nice to have a talk with Tiger Woods just to see how he is doing and to let him know if they’re doing well.

TIGER GETTING BACK TO HIS BEST

Tiger Woods was making heads turn at the Arnold Palmer Invitational as he played well, climbing up the leader board slowly and consistently as he got two birdies in the two of the last three holes. Whatever might have been written and said about Tiger Woods by the media, no-one can deny his ability to get people’s attention for the right and the wrong reasons.

He got the people’s attention on a very hot and sultry afternoon as he played well and got the required points. There was a sense of excitement in the air as everyone has the same thought in their minds; will this be the tournament where Tiger Woods gets back to his winning ways? It is a good possibility given the way he has started off this tournament.

He had a good day in the office as he hit a good seventeen out of eighteen greens and a second round of sixty five which saw him make seven brilliant birdies and no bogeys at all. And the only green that he missed was in the fringe which actually means that he putted. What was most remarkable was the fact that he birdies the entire par 5s, a feat that was very common in his golden days.

But is very important to not forget the fact that he had been here much before along the comeback trail and was also tied for the lead with just nine holes to go at the 2011 Masters but ended up finishing a distant fourth. He also held a good thirty six hole lead at the Australian Open but then ended up third by shooting a Saturday 75.

A couple of months back in Abu Dhabi he took a brilliant lead in the final round against Robert Rock but then ended up scoring a mere seventy two points thus giving Robert Rock the golden chance to win the tournament. Tiger Woods did not even finish second as Rory Mcilroy finished second and Woods had to bite the dust again. Tiger Woods admitted saying that he still has a very long way to go before he gets back to his winning ways. We’ll get some videos up of Tiger in his hey-day, but for now you can go here to check out more videos on Tiger Woods.

Hunter Mahan said that people have now stopped comparing Tiger Woods to his glorious ways. He is as if a new player and people and competitors treat him the same way too. People look at him as a brand new player who is completely different from his old glorious self. He said that he is still very talented and has gone through a huge building up process in order to get back to his game.

INJURIES NOT FORM

Golf critic Jeff Shain believes that injuries and not his swing with the golf club that is the biggest hurdle in the career of former world number one Tiger Woods at the moment. Woods withdrew from the World Golf Championship: Cadillac Championships during the week in what marked the third time in the last three years that Woods has had to withdraw from an event before finishing the event. So, the question is, has this become normal for the once mighty King of Golf? The answer might just be in the affirmative as this year marks the sixth straight year that he has had to take an unplanned time off from the game where he was once the biggest icon.

Now, it is the time of the Achilles tendon in Woods’ foot to undergo the media scrutiny after his knee and his neck hogged the limelight in the previous two years. Although he had been suffering from injuries for the last six years or so, many people believe that Tiger Woods is being distracted from playing the game thanks to the off field controversy that he got entangled in but according to Shain, that is not the case.

Shain admits that had it been so, Woods has the capability to rise above those and play to his skill set but since he cannot put a run of some shots on the green together for an extended period of time, it is hurting his confidence and his play on the golf course.

But according to many former players, Tiger Woods is past his prime but the player himself does not think that is the case and is hoping that injuries would give him some respite and let him play his natural game so that he can compete at the top again.
